Suggestions for Improving RealPlayer Performance

Sometimes RealPlayer is setup to receive clips faster than it can receieve them. You can change the connection speed within Real Player:

In RealPlayer, click Tools and select Preferences
In the Category pane, click Connection
Under Bandwidth, set the Normal drop-down list to one level below the speed of your modem.
NOTE - If you are not sure of your connection speed, click the Test Connection button instead. This automatically sets your connection speed.
Make the Maximum drop-down list equal to your modem speed and Click OK.
In the Category pane, click General and then Playback Settings. Check "Instantly play web-page media links instead of downloading them." Click OK.
